Does anybody know how to install GeoIP's C library on Windows in a few simple steps. Even a few complicated steps will do. Even a few complicated steps will do. I researched and tried to compile it from the setup file but failed several times. Feb 7, 2018 - GeoIP is a C library that enables the user to find the country that any IP. By installing the geoipupdate-cron (IPv4) and/or geoipupdate-cron6 (IPv6). Code (GH#81) - Fix test/benchmark on Windows (GH#75) * Sun Feb 26.
I installed awstats on Windows 2000 server, and try to install MaxMind GeoIP Organization, I'm not not sure how to install the GEOIP C library, but I have put the GEO IP perl module into cgi-bin. When I add the Line LoadPlugin='geoiporgmaxmind GEOIPSTANDARD /pathto/GeoIPOrg.dat' and try to refresh the stats again by web, the page cannot load completely, and when I click update now, it cannot be update and gives out internal server error. When I update the stats on command prompt, it gives out 'Free to wrong pool 15d2890 not 80104 at c: program file AWStats wwwroot cgi-bin plugins geoiporgmaxmind.pm line 280, line2. What is it mean?
How can I solve the problem? Any advice would be appreciate, thanks. Try following the ppm installation instructions for the version of Perl you're using (perl -v at the system command prompt). This does work on Windows XP. You won't need the C library, although the use of the C library and associated perl module would be faster.

I'm not aware of a precompiled DLL; I assume someone could do it using a Windows gcc port. I may get to this in the future. The link above provides information about installation of the 3 free databases currently available.
